Busy at work this week but had some time tonight.

Removed antennae tube-








Wife grabbed me a cheap rotary tool from Walmart. $22. So I played, cut, buzzed, sanded...

Why TF does this Heng Long plastic smell like Cancer when you buzz it?



Removed the wrongly doubled convoy light.


Buzzed the engine air intake.




Did some cleanup work on the fenders and mudflaps-

That’s the way mate, get your hack n slash on !
The multi tools these days offer so much for so little it’s not worth NOT having one

Yeah ABS stinks a lot when it gets very hot or starts to melt.
Rotary tool is a must have!
Dremel are very popular but I don't find the quality very good, they don't last long. My favorite is a proxxon that I've been using for more than 2 decades now, it's just as fine and I recommand it if you ever wants something on what you can rely.

A little free time tonight and a little more work.

Honestly a fitment issue that I didn't expect.

The plastic tow cables don't mount properly into the molded in cradles on the hull deck? WTF



How is this a thing?And nobody mentioned it in Any of the posts here before.

But the Heng Long cradle mounts are just alot off



Cut me some slack with measuring holding the ruler and trying to take the pic. I know I could be more accurate measuring but so could Heng Long, they ain't paying me, I'm paying them...

They are a good saw, I have one. Cut the end of my thumb off with one of the scalpels in the photo too so I can also confirm they are a good scalpel.

I’m not really much of a tiger builder I don’t tend to build any German tanks at all, although I plan a couple of captured at some point. I won’t pretend to have any idea what you are doing here with this tiger with all the fixes you need to do, but none the less it’s making an informative build for those of us who simply don’t know

I don't know how I lived before I bought a razor saw like that. I have also cut myself with it on multiple times, but hey the blood god needs his sacrifice on every tank I build...

Thats even a better price than I got it for at my local hobby shop.

I'm laughing, I'm likely the least skilled in this project group and more than likely the least equipped, and you guys like my tools... Not that the chopsticks count as tools. But the razor saw I saw modelers use in Youtube videos. I also have a coping saw. Oh and the rotary tool but I find it is not as precise as the razor saw and it builds heat and melts stuff. So back to basics is sometimes the best.

No worries. At this point I am doing removal of the offending and incorrect details that Heng Long has molded into the tanks hull. And I'm contemplating and modding for my vision of how I want the model finished. Separating the side fenders is an easy mod. Removing front mudguards is me modding according to the period pictures I am following.

Last nights injury was from the pin vise with the 2nd to tiniest bit. Truly a pin. Dead center in my left index finger.

FYI being a Chef the most painful and gnarly cuts are from Serrated knives. But I have skimmed a knuckle or finger tip with the razor saw.
