It's definitely coming along nicely. I haven't worked on my SU-100 in a long time. I guess it's because I need to do a complete custom mounting solution for the elevation and traverse as the stock static kit parts won't hold up to RC. For now I'll just have to envy yours.

Envy is probably a bit of a reach at the moment, but I hope that once the paint & weathering is done, it will look like it was intended too by the original builder.
I did decided to jam a 4th fuel tank on it, even though its a bit rough.
I can cover it with a tarp if necessary.
An overshot of primer to ensure paint will stick and then the burst of gun metal.
Now its off to join Sputnik 1

Next stage.
Found time today to get the Uzbek SU outside for shading & paint.
No more Sputnik !
As Ive run out of Mig 4BO set Shadow, I just used Tamiya Nato Black XF-69 instead.
Works just the same for me.
The mix I use for the 4BO itself is a blend of pretty much all sorts. Including XF-81 Dark Green 2 RAF and a bit of XF-65 Field Grey, with the remaining Mig set Light Base to add highlights.
I'm happy with the result before I put the slogan & numbers on, chipping & all that jazz.
Sometimes I wonder why I do it to myself with the freehand painting of this slogan looming
Clearly I go for extra armour or odd markings to complicate my life
