I’ll second what jarndice said. Spending money on a high quality aftermarket board (and radio is the best modification you’ll ever make. It’s a whole new world. I also ran into your situation with a Tarr smoker and V3 electronics. That’s when I made the leap.

Topper don't despair. when you inevitably buy an aftermarket control board + receiver and aftermarket transmitter the Taigen transmitter, V3 control board and sound card are very saleable items.So the purchase costs of one will certainly be offset by the sale of the other.
