Made some hatch handles out of paperclips and roughed out some periscopes out of styrene. Need to clean them up a bit.

Got some parts in courtesy of some great members recently. Have been really busy with real life things so progress has been slow. I took the factory tamiya tow blocks and trimmed them up gave them the styrene treatment and little putty and pow! Now I can hang them from the d-rings!

These early tamiyas had no coverage between chassis and hull allowing debris from tracks to get inside and just generally not looking very scale. I fitted some styrene under the chassis lip and attached with superglue to address this issue.

It is strange that in many simple aspects like that Tamiya has been surpassed by other brands. I have their leopard 2 and it is far nicer in user friendliness and features than their earlier designs. It wouldnt hurt to give some of these tanks a slight refresh and rerelease them.HERMAN BIX wrote:The later examples are not much better !
