Love his book. It offers great glimpses of life in a Tiger during the harsh conditions of Russian winters. Hair freezing to the inside wall of the turret while sleeping at night and other horrible examples of pure misery.
His love for his country and sense of duty was definitely his driving force.

Isn’t that a 1/16 Tiger1 behind him? Maybe a Heng Long or Tamiya :D

Frank,

Good to "see" you again! A very nice collection, and a very lucky young man! It would appear that that photo was taken in Otto's house? I believe I've seen pics of him with other's in what he called "his war room"?

Jimster,

Check out this pic of Otto. It would seem he's a fan of Tamiya! And also an owner of a pharmacy?!

I've been really busy here the last week or so due to the "Polar Vortex". This unusual, long lasting cold snap has allowed me to get the tractor and trailer out on the property without leaving Panzer sized ruts everywhere. :lolno: I've fell several large, dead trees that have been on my list for too long to mention. When I get a chance here I'll post some pics of my WW1 and WW2 collection too!

Cheers,
Eric.

Lovely collection Frank.

My collection is mostly vehicle parts or bullets/shell casings!

Not as interesting as some of the helmets and medals!

I would love to own a Panther wheel but they’re mega expensive!

That does it: I have to start Tigers in the Mud tonight. Move it to the front of the line ahead of a few hundred other books. And, yes, how about that: there's the date right on the lower left hand corner. Aren't I observant? Alright, "Ain't I dum, D-U-M: dum>! :haha:
