Do you know if it was the 18650 type of cells or some other kind of flatpack cell? I'm curious because I have some Li-Ion 18650 battery packs and the 18650 cells are usually quite stable unless shorted.

To bo honest, I don't know. I bought them a couple of years ago from AliExpress for a RC car from the kids. I can't check the batteries anymore because my wife go so scared (and a bit angry) when it caught fire that she insisted that I would bring them to the local chemical waste point to get rid of them. I wasn't allowed to keep them in the house anymore.

Since Clark units are hard to get in the EU I'll be going for Elmod. Or does anyone know another supplier in the EU (besides maxmekker) that sells all Clark stuff?
