LEDs and boards ,why is it that only Elmod put a protective circuit in and also have no need for resistors. How many pence/cents extra would that cost in large production runs ?

With this post, the construction phase of the RC Panzer 1 is finished. What take weeks or months when building a scratch built or cottage industry model is done in a few hours with this kit. Here is a few pictures taken prior to painting.
This Panzer 1 model is equipped with one blackout light in the middle, and two small headlights on the fenders. I equipped them all with small LEDs. The 35RCTANK does not have a light port so these are connected directly to the receiver. I wired the blackout light and the headlights independently so that they can be alternatively turned on/off. Both set are turn on here for demonstration purposes. The lenses will be installed after painting. As i noticed quite a few members on this board do not like bright lights, i intend to try to soften them a bit, somehow.
The overall detail level is superb.
The tools are well detailed and complete. For anyone building or owning a Ludwig kit, it might be worth buying the Takom kit just for the purpose of using the tools or transplanting some other detailed items.
This is it for now. Next time you see this Panzer 1, it should be in its Panzer grey delivery.

The Panzer 1 Ausf B model is finished. It was an extremely fast build, i realized i started it less than 2 weeks ago. Simple too and quite cheap. With the repacking of the Aber machine guns, the whole build was done under the $200 budget, not including the control board. Not bad for a rare cat. The Panzer 1 is not the most exciting tank but the build gave me the opportunity to learn about a tank that i did not know very well.

And finally, the traditional running trial video... This is quite an aggressive RC model, very light and fast. I did my best to control it. Considering the electronics and the gearbox, i think it is a good interior runner, mindful of not burning the motors. With its two machine guns, this is a nice model to drive around, no more. Still, i now have a Panzer 1 in the collection...

Wow Louis what can I say, another top draw build yet again the ease of which you make look converting these models is just unbelievable, you are a master of static to rc builds
