It's not so much time as available budget. With retirement comes more limited financial restrictions. I've spent a working life focused on using IT to better businesses so the technical learning of the design/printing software shouldn't be an issue. What scares me is how l'll become addicted to buying equipment and cluttering up a house that's already a cluttered hobby museum. But still, l'm VERY tempted every time l see bits made by others. My Chaly 2 Megatron kit supplied by James is just superb. I love scratch building but there are some things that a printer can do so much better.

Well presented, Freddy., as usual.
I really like the R&D resin tests!. That's very methodical. My only worry about resin, in the past, has been that it seems to break more easily (it's more brittle) than styrene.
Your thorough testing shows that it lasts well, however. (It's surprisingly durable in specific roles).

Thanks for your commendation!
In the past I'd very bad experience with (cast) resin and I was worried too, but got good results with printed resin. It's totally different!
The hull is very stiff and not bridle, but for the drive sprocket and the idler I switched to very resistable PA for being safe, despite the good R&D results.

A little update to report.
Next step means the front axle. Tires, rims and all axle stuff mounted at the hull.







Oscillating motion should be enough.

Is there a rough price for the full kit Yet?

well, the kit is pricy BUT the quality level is high, the surface is smooth and doesn't have to be prepared with filler paste and it comes with metal tracks incl. rubbers (which are 140 Euros allone) and motors.
Additionally all wheels are made of sintered PA; that's very stiff and wear resistant. The front wheels are soft, made of casted silicone.

The picture you shared is of a SD.Kfz.251/22 with mounted Pak40, however it is Ausf D shape.
You can tell by shape of rear door openings and the more simplified armour design. It was made with the idea to reduce the complex shape of the armour with less angles.
