I have not done a lot in the hobby in a while, but I love my Sherman and Pershing.. this past week they got stolen from my shop along with all my heng longs and my mato and some 21st Century tanks, trucks, and cars. I was hoping to get some replacements especially the Tamiya Sherman, but it looks like that's on hold.. I would like to get a new kit.. guess I will have to wait I checked ebay and they don't have the 50614 version for sale at the moment.. they just have a few of the older model numbers. Seems the kit is sold out everywhere.

Yup, hard to find as the Sherman is no longer produced. Hopefully it's just a temporary discontinuance like they have done in the past. People suck...can't believe someone stole all your tanks. Keep an eye out on Ebay as your tanks may show up there. I know the police can't do much, but hopefully a police report was filed at least.

For me, Tamiya made mistakes. Why a Sheridan, why a JGSDF type 10?As was said above, why not new versions of Sherman, Tiger 1 or a new model, like a T34, with new electronics.
But the another problem is the price.I bought my first Tamiya last year, but it is a Tiger 1, the cheaper model I found, completely new in a website.
It is really hard to pay more than 1000€ for a 1/16 tank, when others manufacturers are much cheaper.
It is only my opinion.

Tamiya has always been overpriced but still beats the competition in case of quality. I.e I have comparison between Tamiya and Heng Long Pershing. It's like comparing a Japanese and a Chinese car
Anyway, a re-release of Sherman would be appreciated.
