The big question is should you get a leather or metal wristband? I mean leather is ok for timekeeping on carpet and hardwood floors, but outdoors is metal all the way. Just be sure to upgrade the gears for the second hand... :/

I never thought about the strap,I did think about the catch, I don't need the strap to come undone at any time (sic) but underwater at depth is unthinkable.
That was one of the attractions of the over the centre Seiko strap but the strap on this Pulsar Chronograph has proven to be good at it's job.
The handbook does not say so but I find it advisable to leave it out in direct sunlight for a few hours to boost the Solar storage facility.
It has proven to be a very cheap very reliable Chronograph that I would recommend to anyone not just divers,
Knowing that Pulsar is owned by the Seiko watch company is a boost to my confidence.

Good Afternoon!
Someone mentioned Tissot Pocket Watches ...a few years back...in this Thread. I received one for Christmas a couple of years back and it is a beautiful Timepiece indeed. The attendant Manual and Warranty Books could have been shelved in someone's Library. They were that size and Quality. For something that provides the Time and Date in this Age of Mobile Computing, it was a comfort to see simply, a Watch. No Dick Tracy Gadgetry this time around!
regards,
Painless

It sure looks like it Doc,
It keeps perfect time which of course a Chronometer does and it just does what it should do so perhaps this thread has reached its natural conclusion.
