Very smooth.
What are your intentions for painting. If I recall correctly you use a 4BO paint system last time?

Not this time mate. Going to have a go at a 2 colour camo that really existed.
I assume it was a khaki over 4BO but not certain.

Some early versions had camo patterns, some did not.
Some very late ones had camo(ISU 152's) , some did not.
I like the look of this one, and its harder to get right than just a plain green one.
This one Mr Estiniche , check the link

Thanks Mr Rainford, off to a spluttering start, but once this work thing is over I can get a run on it.

Been away for 21 days straight................back for 48 hours.
Got the engine bay hatch support stay on, the hinges on, a close enough filler cap on & detailed, and the new hull attachment brace points on.
Turns out the Soviets just turned the hatch around backwards, welded new hinges on it, gouged away the corners of the hatch where it interfered with the exhaust outlets when it was opened, and thats about it.
I will hide the hinge bolt holes with filler & weld to make them look as rough as the real thing.
Once the missing bits arrive from Germany(if ever) the rest of the hull can proceed.
Gearboxes and tracks are the next investment requiring a visit to the World Bank for suitable currency

Thanks Mr C, as a grouping of detail, they all look ok.
There are several minor details to be added on the rear round engine deck hatches, and they will be small but significant in the end I think.
Above is a link to more detail on the production & quality of these iconic weapons.
