I recently bought into a HL product.. And wasn't impressed at all with the detail, the electronics or the motors in it.. Same old stuff in my opinion.. I look at it this way, HL is the low grade budget tank. Taigen/Torro is the mid range with better quality, but you pay more for it. Tamiya is of course the Gold Standard or Rolls Royce of the hobby if you will..
HL might be making strides to improve the products.. But they have a ways to go in my opinion from what I've seen..
I will however concede that "tankme" is correct when he says, "None of them are perfect and all have room for improvement."
This is of course, just my opinion.. Each persons mileage will vary.. Nothing is carved in stone.. I'm sure there will be some very happy tankers that are pleased with the offerings HL has.. And if it works for them, great.. But I just wasn't impressed..
