Hi Ern,
Thanks mate it was just an idea if it didnt work I was going to buy a metal one , although they need adjusting as they sit to high and the edge is the wrong angle .This does depend on which one you buy I have seen correct ones . But the tall ones stick out like a saw thumb way to high ( see my post regarding this). Was you ok to send just the turret base , upto you if you leave cog on ? Did you get the track holders fitted ? Im thinking of scratch building them to . This is for my sons tank .

Thanks Andy

Hi everybody , I'm taking a weeks holiday  . So no more tank work until I get back  :( . Going to Cromer for the week , so might have another look at the Muckleburgh collection . Although  went there last year so probably will give it a miss and stick to ice creams , the beach and crabbing of the pier .

Hi just had a weeks holiday and my children are on school holidays now for another 6 weeks . But Ive done some to my Tiger and tried to do some to Chunks . Ive fitted the scratch built cupola and have started work on the later pattern loaders hatch . It looks a bit rough at the mo but it will be OK ( Don't worry Chunk) . I got a bit carried away there as , asfare as I know the Tigers with the  later style loaders hatch also should have the turret ring  :-\ ?

Done a bit more today . Here's the exhausts , Ive done this a different way to mine and to be honest it was simpler  and looks good ? I used the stock HL top and bottom but placed a piece of copper pipe between them . This has a hole drilled into it to push the pipe to feed the smoke from the unit out the top of the exhaust . But doing it this way meant I couldn't fit the pipe out the top of the exhaust , like I did on my one . So I drilled out the tops to take a piece of pipe I had . I still placed the same pipe into the exhausts to take the smoke in . But now this blows up and the smaller pipe from the top of the exhaust sits inside the wider one . So I hope this works  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ Please note the exhausts are only proped up onto the tank not fixed yet , thats why they look a bit sloppy . I need to take them of to paint them and the tank.

I have also done some work on the turret . I have altered the ends of the bins ( this is unfinished yet ) I have opted not to fit opening lids at the moment . I will see how it looks this way first . If I'm not happy I will have a re-think . The self defense weapon has had a little more work done to it as has the centre mounted fan . Both these need a little tweeking yet  ::) until I'm happy . I have lowered the space between to the rear bins and added the mushroom . Ive also added the three piece bar above the mantlet on the turret .

And the final thing today . I have altered the exhaust shields and fitted mushrooms (lifting lugs) to the cast protectors  . The exhaust shields I thinned down a bit as they looked a bit to thick  :-\ :-\ :-\ . The Pict's showing the exhausts they are loose and the shields are bluetacked on temperay to take the picture . Just in-case they look sloppy . What do you think Chunk Stareted this around 12.30 just finnished and put picts up for you now . Oh I did stop for my tea  ;D . Cant you tell Ive had some free time  ;D ;D ;D
