Hmmm...well, that really is puzzling. Alpha, our late lamented (by some- and I'm one) 'General' amassed a total of over 11,000 posts before he was banned, and had his sword broken over the admin knee (metaphorically ). Alpha remains banned, and yet his posts remain. ....
Then again, some of the older threads really wouldn't make any sense at all if his posts had been somehow redacted. What's more, I can still smile at some of those animated Gifs he posted when I come across them.
They annoy some folk, but, there's no doubt he was the master of 'em.

I think the mods have two options when they ban people, delete all in the case of spammers, or just the member, I have noticed that a few threads around the forum have weird replies or quotes without postings from members that are no longer members. I guess it just depends on which mod does the banning or why the ban was enforced.

Therefore, the future of members and their posts is after all in the hands of little green men. . . .

OK, I'm missing something, or I'm a bit slow (or both) but I think, Herman, you rightfully went to ban marcushot for his spam post, and Mick got banned at the same time by mistake? Or was there something deeper? Some traumatic childhood incident that made you a mickophobe and you just couldn't help yourself?

And I agree those jokers should be sent to Uranus instead of Saturn, where they can pretend they're toilet paper aboard the Enterprise, and travel around Uranus in search of Kling-Ons.
