Morris Quad C8 FAT.

Heng Long/WPL are now manufacturing 1/16 scale RC trucks, so it seemed sensible to create a forum area dedicated to the amazing things that members are doing with them. Post your builds, mods, and tips here.

I wouldn't doubt it Mick, I'd think it would be a real handful to reverse with the limber and gun in tow :D

howdy, what a fabulous build!
i picked up the files to make one years ago and while i was able to find my files i have no instructions on how to put the thing together! was wondering if you happened to have the instructions still or if not how long did you cut your frame, i've got the front cut down but i'd rather not guess at the back

Hi,
This vehicle was designed by a friend on the forum and printed for myself again by another friend on here. I'm not sure if it would be the same as the one that you have downloaded ???
The build did not come with any instructions for myself either I just basically made the chassis up on the fly as I went along seeing what would fit and what looked right, my model is only 2 wheel drive as the chassis is pretty short and the driveshafts would have been at too steep of an angle to give it 4 wheel drive.
Take a look through the pictures on the thread and I'm sure you'll get the jist of it

Cheers, Lee.

having already looked through the parts you had and the parts i do, it's definitely the same files, i've been using your images to part the thing together but i was having trouble figuring out where the battery tray and other hidden parts were supposed to go, along with the frame length with regards to chopping the rear.

i do believe i have a solution to the 4x4 issue as i have removed an amount of plastic covering the "transfer case" and shortened the shaft considerably, will know once i get the rear properly set up but it looks promising

as for where i got the files, a user on Shapeways was selling the morris along with the limber and potentially the gun (don't quite remember) around 2018, the posts still show up on Yeggi but are dead links, the account no longer exists so i do not know if it was your friend selling them or not but they are 100% the same files, i only have the quad files, not the limber or gun.

regards, J

Hi J,

I only had the Morris quad and 25pdr gun printed, I made the limber myself out of some spare parts that I had hanging around
