Hi Folks. Here's another set of video clips for the Panzer III. Thanks Steiner, I'll make my next clips of the SdKfz 250/251 hopefully this afternoon. It takes an age to upload onto YouTube though.
The bullet hole in the Panzer III driver's vision port is interesting. In all the times I've seen and photographed the Panzer III, I've never noticed that before.

Cheers

Hi Steiner. Here's some clips of the SdKfz 250/251 in action as well as the Kettenkrad. I had less footage of these than I thought so its only about 2 minutes I'm afraid.

Grompix, many thanks for taking the time to post video of the PzIII & SdKfz 250/251. What is the difference between both models 250/251 ? Is it that ones a long wheel base and the other short. Also, what video camera are you using because the quality is excellent. Is it digital ?
Cheers

hi guys. on a sort of related topic and since we are all posting piccies, i am attaching a few that the wife took at biggin hill when we were there. didn't get many, but thought you might like these ones as they are clearer than blurry shots of smoke from planes that had left the frame!! she claims she was taking pics of the modern tank because 'the guys on the forum might like them' and she assured me that it had nothing to do with the rather athletic chaps in uniform who were on the tank at the time!! Dave

p.s no that is not me in the floppy hat

My pleasure Steiner, glad you like the clips. I'll be posting more as soon as I get the chance. In a nutshell, the Sd.Kfz 250 was based on the 1 ton halftrack chassis and the Sd.Kfz 251 on the 3 ton chassis, hence the difference in size.
My camera is nothing special. It's a 9-year-old Sony digital handycam. It records on mini-DV cassettes and also takes a memory stick for stills photos. I normally upload all my footage from the camera onto my computer hard-drive and then edit it using Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7.0. I save the finished video as a DV Avi file and then convert them to Mpeg4 before uploading to YouTube. All my YouTube footage is done the same way but I've noticed that the quality changes every time YouTube uprates its software. I'm pleased with the quality at the moment but some of my previous uploads have been pretty cr@p even though the settings were done the same way!
I quite fancy a hi-definition wide screen camera next but I don't think Santa has that in mind this Christmas!
Cheers
Chris

Thanks Chris for the explanation with regards to the Sd KFzs, as well as your info on your Video camera set up. Nine year old camera ! Wow, that says something for sony quality. Brilliant, looking forward to the next footage.
Cheers.
