Have all the bugs been worked out? Or are their still problems with the system?

Gentlemen,
I had an email from Bill at RCCommand. He says that the "bug" in the circuit board has been fixed and is sending me 2 new "bare" boards. I have to remove the IC chip from each existing board and push fit it into my new one's when they arrive. I only hope that this will work and by that I mean, I only hope that other electronic components weren't fried with RCCommands initial oversight.
I have to say that I'm a bit surprised that as a customer I have got wrapped up in the developers product testing. So we'll see how things go.
I would much rather be posting a successful installation than posting nothing more than trouble. But let's see how it goes, as they say "Third time lucky".

All the best.

Nick.

Erm, yeah...

the Blitz took back every single DBC board that failed to work for me, and fixed them at his own expense...
(ok, so I'm in the US most of the time, but still... ::) )

Fixing electronics by yourself is a risky buisness - maybe it got fried as a result of their problems, maybe you applied too much heat when moving the parts over to the new board :o - I wouldn't accept that at all!!!

Hi Ex-Pat,
The bare board replacement is the best I'm going to get at the moment. So we'll have to see how I get on when I get them.
Presumably "static" conventions still apply when handling programmed I.C chips ?

Nick.

yep, I'd make sure that you are well and truely earthed before tackling that job... :-\
