Well, I’ve got all the main parts printed, just some tools to do.
Martin got me thinking about a bigger printer, so I tried printing some bits in 1/6 action man scale.
Just take a look at the size difference!!!
Dark grey is 1/16 light grey is 1/6

You're gonna need a van to shift that when you are done :haha:

What size steel rod did you settle on for track pins?

1/6th scale?!? Will the tracks take the stress?

I haven’t measured up for the rod yet lol
As for the strength of the tracks, they appear to be very solid & robust.
I’ve only used PLA but they still take 3.5 hours to print each link...
I’m not sure if anyone has printed a 1/6th before, I like a challenge.
Cheers

I was asking about the 1/16 scale tracks, I can't see me going for a 1/6 scale T35- it would probably be longer than my GTI :lolno:

Hi Martin, I had some 1,2mm stainless in my odds & ends drawer & it fits perfectly. A good push fit on one side & just a nice clearance on the other.
Oh, have you considered a roof box lol

oh yeah, the front idler would be sitting up on the dash board alright - I'd probably also wince everytime I closed the boot, waiting for that sickening crunch as the tailgate came down and crushed something 8O
