All's looking good so far
Mick.
Using SP106 - CF with some colour, used some cf + kev. Wood/filler/spray plugs.FB molds

Found the Yachting FB, which was used in both projects above. The guy we found on travels was laying up hull wit just normal chipboard and posts.....then we saw this guy, on TV who had purchased a FB rescue craft, and converted it!

The Yachting FB soaked up alot of resin, but was different to strand mat.
If laying up flat panels with FB always leave longer than epoxy, also the epoxy doesnt seem to shrink as FB can sometimes do.
Built up back of covers and hinge . Placed on Turret, which had cellotape protecting surface, added CF+.re posistioned slightly, coz of bigger box.
Pulled plastic pattern from vent tube, added.
Layed up two layers of sock, for bearings.
Good job covered up with masking tape, grinder slipped twice so far!

The bearing housings(Gun axle) still needs adding to inner, they hold bearing but its not complete. Cut some circles ready to add.
Thickened up gun mounting plate alittle, added edge, and need to cut some angle, to build on for pivots.
Turret lower plate, needs to be big enough to fix and add strengh to, but wanna keep things wide.
Polished turret main bearing, with four/five layers wax, added a tube (As pattern) buit up strands, layed up four layers, compressed alittle with new lid, which maybe wasnt such a good idea, may have promted some air, but gave me a line to work to.
Released bearing top half, which looks okay to continue with.

Mr Debs17, are you still about?
I'm missing your amazing build.
I hope all is well for you.
Mick.
