				Scaling was the problem initially. I wanted a bottleneck case rather than a strait wall so it would look closer to the real thing, but most bottleneck I found were way too huge.
You might get away with a .223 case but its still a bit big, but it is rimless like your .50 one.
I ended up trading scale for appearance a bit.

				I see the thought the abrupt shoulder was a bit "off".
I wonder if you could use a fired .22 magnum case (which is very long, but un-tapered)& lube it up well then spin it into a slightly tapered cone of some kind?
