More work complete, I've added detail to the bustle bin, removed the cupola and rotated it so the commander didn't keep bashing his arms, added weld seams to the bustle extension and made an antenna base and guard (which was a monster PITA).

Enjoy;

Antenna base was a PITA but looks great Tom well worth it imo. Are you going to keep the track on the turret too?

Cheers Jake! I was tempted to go for the shapeways one but thought I would give scratch building it a go first. I will be keeping the applique track armour, I think its a fairly unique look! (till some one starts selling churchill tracks!)

Certainly different Tom..It's quite a look! I haven't seen one like that before with so much spare diff pieces of track, defiantly a talking point when shes out and about.

Its nice to see another hybrid coming along. 8) The 1C hybrid has to be the most popular cut & shut, followed by the VC kit(?), but I've not seen a welded hull 1C yet, but I never tire of the composite hull. :thumbup:

Never fear a welded 1c is in the works!

Hey folks, I've skipped ahead a few steps. Finished the detailing, some work on the hatches, added detail to the loaders hatch, fire extinguishers etc. Then started on painting. Primed in grey tamiya surface primer. Then metal coat of gunship grey with hairspray over the top. Green is a mix I got online for British scc 15, modulated adding buff. Then chipped lightly. Filter of sin industries brown for dark green. Lastly a pin wash. Also added decals, barrel camo and added Canadian identification mark. Loads left to do but cracking on.

Just gorgeous :thumbup:
Something about that with the Churchill tracks added that makes it 'tougher' than other Fireflys.

Cheers folks, I've continued to plug away with this one, finished the streaks and fading and weathered the tracks. Still masses to do, tools, tow cable, stowage, two more crew and the mud dust and grime on the rest of the tank.

Here she is so far:
