Unfortunately, I bet we dont agree on our teams - for me it has been and always will be the boys in the Red shirts.

I got no issue with the "Boyo's" mate !
I rate Phill Bennet & Andy Irvine as an iconic Rugby players, and the tunes from Cardiff Arms Park at 0300hrs in New Zealand on TV raised the hairs in a way seldom replicated.
I still like to use the only loss of the All Blacks to a then mid-week team (do NOT ask me to spell it-you know who they are!!) as a motivator for young players in the game now.
Rugby= 80 mins of real men from your own country pretending they are not actually hurt.
Soccer= 90 mins of men from some other country pretending they are.

“Football – a game for gentlemen played by hooligans. Rugby – a game for hooligans played by gentlemen.”
Unattributed.

A more comprehensive version “Soccer is a gentleman’s game played by thugs. Rugby league is a thug’s game played by thugs. Rugby Union is a thug’s game played by gentlemen.”
