Knowing how big the Challenger is, the pics don't convey the sheer size of this beast. Excellent work as always.

Update Monday 3rd Oct

Hi all

Sorry it's been a week ,, I've been on night shift so been in the land of sleep most of it .. catching up so it been able to do a lot on the CHAARV but some pics of what I have been able to do
most of the works had gone in to the rear of the hull and the high level storage bins

I tried a little experiment with an idea of how to make that dreaded barricuda camo netting which I added to the taller box on the farm .. that box is all the upgraded radio gear that that can't fit inside the main hull ..

Lira of small detail work going on and it takes time to get it right ..as usual it's the research
and reference that is a pain.. as again no two tanks seem to be the same ..

that seem to be able to say a,lot more than I can .. still mountains of work to do
just the corrections I need to do to the engine deck will take a bit of time as the deck under wjere the c2 turret woukd be is quite difderent becauae the charrv is based on a challenger 1 not the challenger 2

So while I am here and see if any one reads this ,, is any one up for doing a challenger 1 turret ?
Oh and just for reference ..only the turret ring is the same between the two tanks ..like the king tigers
common hull different turrets ,,

So pics ..there a few

Wow , amazing build , and you're right a scratch built Challenger turret added to a very lightly modified CR2 hull , mostly fixtures and fittings , would be very cool .

I think I will sell all of my tanks, buy a job lot of Prozac, and just sit in the corner sobbing into my beer. Your work is amazing Ian, you should consider finding a company that can laser cut styrene and selling these as kits, along with your updated Leopard.

Thanks wibley for the kind comments

I have been approached by a large production company with a view to using my armour to
pop injection moulded rc tanks

Who knows if I will go ahead with it ..but it is interesting

But on the other hand I love the thought that my armour is unique
