Herman I do enjoy a quality Panzer 4 build and you are not letting me down, although I smiled when I saw your engine hatches because when I fitted mine they were a genuine 100% pain in the backside to get right and you seem to have fitted the same make,
What choked me was when I recently went to the Welsh Dragon site and clicked on the Heng Long upgrade (Panzer 4) section and he is selling TAIGEN Hatches which straight away look far better than the tat I bought all that time ago.
If I build another Panzer 4 I know whose Hatches I will be using.
Shaun.

Photos once the I.T. is sorted.
NBN hasn't made it out your way yet? They've connected everyone in this street except for our apartment building, cheeky buggers.

Oh dont dare go there with those hatches !!
Still not right, seem to have a gap like a Lada round the shuts, and are looser than a $2 Kings-Cross hooker on the hinges !!
They will have to do.
I still need to figure out how to have them stay closed, without using magnets if possible.
Had to use a needle point file to clean out the louvers and all range of other jewelers files to dress the hinge castings to even accept the hatches at all.
Used old mobile phone SIM card holders to form frames under each one, but still not happy with them.
At the moment, I am held up by waiting for hardware to arrive from my supplier, and because of this I have loose ends to burn !
Mudguards, moulded shovel, guard mounted lights.............gone
Thinned out all guard profiles to give the illusion of sheet thickness, but need to figure a way of removing the redundant mounting points for the guard mounted lights without ruining the treadplate pattern.
'Dented' the muffler housing, and added rear mudguard deflection.

I hope my bits arrive soon, and I figure out how to proceed with my poor old computer. Cannot load pictures, struggle to see pictures, text wont load up.....................really annoying.

Gold Coast mate..............we dont need NBN apparently.
I have an old machine, and its probably just loaded up with stuff.
When it comes to I.T. I can barely spell I.T................so its gone well for all these years.
8 years of stuff with no real technical support, guess I cant bitch.

Thanks Mr Ice, its great to see you around
Its a funny one this PzIV, needs much to change from toy to tank really.
I got my 2.4 G set, metal roadwheels & return rollers & sprockets, only to find the return rollers are very late versions with no tyres on them.
Dragged out the removed plastic ones and I think they are a bit far gone to go again.
Not sure what to do now, short of searching the expensive and expansive overseas market for a set of early return rollers
Now with my steel gearboxes here I can get on with the lower hull.

Evenin', Herman,
No love from Oz Armor or Tank Army for the return rollers? Even then, are the ones you received all metal with a cast on tire? If so, black rubber paint and a small paint brush could fix that.
regards and following along as always,
Painless

In all honest I havnt gone thru the stocks of either yet, but on last check-neither had any.
The return rollers are definitely the hard rimmed ones, not tyres.
Ideal for a G or H, a StuG IV or suchlike, but not an early IV.
On the subject of stock, Kevin at Tankarmy has confirmed that he is getting out of selling RTR tanks. Getting too expensive to buy wholesale, so taking to long to sell and tying up money and space.
He is carrying on the parts line thank goodness.

Herman,
Thank you for the heads-up on Tank Army. Thank goodness as you said, he is still carrying the parts line.
good luck with the rollers and regards as always,
Painless
P.S. Maybe Mato might have the right rollers?
