Have put in a few orders for parts...3 to be specific...

Dominique at RC tank: Metal road wheels, sprocket, idler, commanders hatch, recoil, a Tiger 1 BB upper hull and some electronics.
Dave Forgebear: Mostly Tiger parts for the wheels and tracks, a BB turret for KV-1 but also a pair of metal lifting hooks for the Stug.
And Asiatam: Bits and Pieces for the Stug, such as tools and spare tracks for the hull and some modelling supplies...and of course...Night vision for the gunner, driver and commander(there was an offer of all three together and I saved about 50% on the last one, so I thought why not. This way I'll be sure I have one I can use and the others could be used on another tank)

I have a feeling that Dominiques package will arrive first. Then Asiatam and lastly Dave's (packages from the UK are really a drag, and Germany is just a 4-5 hour drive)
Dominique once apologiced to me, that my order would probably be a bit delayed, since the German postal services was on strike...it took 46 hours!!!

Well... The waiting game has begun!!
In the meantime, I have started fitting what tools I had in my bits box and will paint my Tiger (practice for the Stug )



Also. Do any of you know, if the Stug IV had the 4 square tiles under the air intake and the triangle supports on the skirts, like the Panzer IV??

So far my Package premonitions are holding true!

You do realize there Arnie...What you have caught is pretty much incurable ...You're definitely in it for the long hawl

Did also notice you got the P IV metal wheels without those so called suspension items

Hehe, yeah... I have a slight tendency to get "carried away"

Luckily, the wheels are only available without the "suspension"

Btw. Saw those Arm-02 ATRC thingies and thought I'd give them a try. They even have pins to connect to a flash ring and for the price of 11€ I thought, why not

Will need to pull out the magnifying glass, for the solder installation to the MFU though

No worries...I'm the same way...if you are making an order...may as well do it...and "try" to get everything needed in one stroke....thing is...I almost always end up needing something else

Yeah...I remember when I first ordered the metal leaf things...Have to say...never again....they might add a little weight ...but it's just not worth the time really ...the wheels ..most definitely yes ...mostly because I don't like painting the black on the wheels though

Hehe, same for me. I had thought about just using the plastic ones, but decided on getting the metal ones, because of the rubber tires.

I actually like the metal arms themselves. The mod of using the Taigen arms, with the HL springs works really well, as well as lift the tank a bit from the ground.

You know Arnie...the thing about the metal leaf....I'm not even sure if they are stronger than the HL/ Taigen plastic versions....and I did find on some of the metal ones that they can bind if you tighten them up too much...and on the flip side of that...they can be too loose as well... I know I had to make some plastic shims for a set or two ....as the arms would wobble side to side ...the plastic ones have a little wobble...but because they are plastic...they rarely bind ...so even shimming any gap is much less labor intensive....that was a good point for me
