I recall one guy in this forum had sealed his gearbox and filled it with grease. It resulted to a quieter, no-maintenance gearbox he says. I'd like to try that with the Ultimate Gearbox II or with this 550 gearbox.

Hi, Guys. Since the gearbox is designed to work without oil, why bother?

Has anybody else tried those 360 motors that come with the little water pumps on ebay? I got two for about $7, including shipping, and they definitely made a full metal Tiger One go faster. In case you missed it (of course he has video! What did you expect?)

Hey Max ,,,,got any tips on where to get some 2.1 gearboxes to pair with those motors....My Abrams is just dying to catch some air
Alpha, in the ZTZ-99A I used black steel 3 shaft GBs and the $7-a-pair motors and got 45 scale MPH, almost exactly the rating claimed by the Chinese. I think that combo would do the same for an Abrams, giving you the scale governed speed.

Here's the 99A with the $7 360 motors. Even faster than the tigers, but correct for scale.

That sounds like fun. So when are you coming over with some tanks to drag race?
