Bra-VO Mr Midnight
Excellent job on mounting and blending the Schurzen plates, now you have the track tension that wont derail, but the look thats right as well.
It still does my head in that it was a pantiger !

Thanks! It sure doesn't look anything like the "donor" tank anymore.
It runs well with the slacker treads. Everything tracks well, and even turns well on carpet and grass. Just a few more details and it'll be ready to dirty down.

Here's a couple of shots I got outside this morning...
Solo
Hunting pair
And I tried to use some of the effects on my phone to give a couple of them an "artsy" flair...

Managed to finish up the bomb plates for the rear deck. Have to get it outside and get some better pictures...
I tried a rust technique on the metal pieces, but it didn't work out. So, paint it on!

I just sprayed a coat of iron oxide red primer on the plates, then used brown, black, and orange acrylic paint with a stiff brush. Just put puddles of paint on a piece of card, then stippled the colors on. Mixed them as I was putting them one, not cleaning the brush between colors. This was my first attempt at this and I was really happy with the way they came out.
