The wife and kids won't be going with me that's for DAMN Sure!
Do it man ....Just Do it!!!

...Can't be anything but good being away from the old surroundings for 12 hrs or so....The wife and kids are definitely an option....but I guess there might be some griping either way lol

Kids are too old to just drag along with us, 23 and 19. The 23 year old is in college and the 19 year old is a manager at A.C.Moore craft store so no kids. The wife has work and wouldn't want to go anyway, besides I'd never make it in 5 hours with her in the car!

That's what a full day drive? Where in Detroit? Don't need your address just an idea where in Detroit.
PM sent.
If it's just you then the couch is all yours. The next meet of DTC is scheduled for the 25th of this month, but if you can't wait that long just come on by and we'll rake the village and drive some tanks. If it's chilly, well, I've got a fire pit and you've seen the brushpile on the videos and it still needs burnin'.

The 25th? Hmmmmmm.... maybe. But if I come out there I won't be able to buy the Jagdtiger this month. I may have to wait till the next meet, besides that'll give me a chance to finish my Tiger and hopefully get the Jagdtiger.

Anyone coming from east of the Atlantic has to bring white tack. Can't get that over here.

One of the DTC guys has access to the school gym at Oxford High School so if they do a battle there this winter that would be a perfect time to come. I'm hoping to get some of the guys from Canada and some other guys from down in Indiana and Missouri to attend for that one. I'll see if I can pin him down for dates soon, and I got some good news today that means besides showing off the new Jagdtiger I'll also be showing off a new metal Stug and an Imex Sherman. Now if I can just swing a Famo out of the deal I'll be on cloud nine. Somebody stop me!!

This is white tack
It's just sticky putty, but I use it for a multitude of things. The soldier in the photo has a tiny blob of white tack in his palm and that's what holds his machine gun in his hand. It stays firmly in place but will come out before it breaks if it gets bumped (at least so far, knock-on-wood). I also put a bit in the palm of my tank commander's hands and it helps his hands stay connected to the cupola edge/rim. It's also great for hatches that want to swing open. And on and on and on. Try it, you'll like it.
