Health and safety Painless,
I once reversed an AV432 over a BMW AND the 432 had mirrors! the BM looked a trifle distressed afterwards! :lolno: :lolno: I believe the term used in the USA is Tailgating. I bet to this day the driver of the BM gives Armour a bit more space.
Brigadier truly a magnificent job.
Why it looks to me that you have done this kind of work before?

Got three more in the mail so the past few days have been filled with 1/35th scale action lol...reason for the "silent running" at the moment.... ;)

Two more additions came in on Monday....One I finished last night ...

"PARTIALLY BUILT"....Thought I'd give it a shot....turns out this kit is not bad at all...If the guy hadn't glued the upper and lower together it is actually possible to make it run....yes indeed...small as it is...I have a mech that would have fit in it...the best thing...and the reason why I came to this conclusion ....is the entire drive train worked...I was able to assemble it so all the wheels move as does the suspension....Terrific little kit :D

Turns out the grey sprue that was included in for an anti aircraft gun...no interest in that so didn't bother assembling it ....all in all I'd say it was a more pleasurable experience than "repair"/"restoring" one....

The second model that arrived on Friday...It's a repeat...but my first one is missing a headlamp...and these things are getting pretty hard to find...thought it was a good dealhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/Built-Tank-Mode ... 7675.l2557

The seller actually took some good useful photos....clearly the track was broken but that was easily remedied ....I have to say...Whomever built this model did a really good job....everything was tight...everything was straight...the entire drive train still works...the wheels sprockets and idlers all move freely ...all the tools are there...the cable weren't damaged one was just loose....the only thing I found wrong with it was the guy had put the gun support in backwards 8O ...and glued lead weights to the back of the mount to counterweight the barrel....it wasn't working :haha: ...the gun was drooping downward and wouldn't stay upright ...again...an easy fix...broke the mantle/gun combination off and rotated the mount to it's correct position...and the gun now works fine without the lead (tore those off :D ) Now she's waiting for paint ...scraped all the decals off ..cleaned all the surfaces with alcohol ....just thinking if I should leave the tools and the cables on...as well as the jack

Greetings Painless
You must have read my mind lol...I just finished painting the Porsche Tiger...and then had time to take some photos :D

Here you are...the new kids on the block :haha:

This area required the most attention...the exhaust was incorrect for what I needed so I had to fabricate all the parts ...The Tamiya kit is the one I actually needed...but it was a simple enough conversion using spun sprue ..metal tube from a TX ...metal scrap...and lots of sanding....the spare track holders were glued so I can lift one end to install the spare track ...or remove them ;)

As far as Tigers go...I think this Porsche Tiger is my Favorite :D ...This one is really great...everything was still intact except for the commander's hatch grab handle...The other one I got a few months ago was in decent condition...all the cables were there..but were broken in some areas...and those things don't look good if you repair them...reason I stripped them off along with the tools...As I mentioned before...this one was in almost perfect condition with very little additional work to be done...If you notice...the gun is perfectly straight...where in the auction photos it point towards the ground...due to the simple repair ..the gun can be positioned and hold it's place :D

In comparison to the Firefly...these were much better experience wise...makes me want to do more :haha: :haha:

Taking a page out of your playbook Painless...have to admit...at one point I did think having a 1/35th scale model to build another model with was a tad hardcore for me lol.....but now that I've done these...I think the process is an excellent move...since all the mods have to be done in a smaller scale...they will be easier when working in 1/16th...as the mechanics are already in mind and function...the cool thing is...there is less searching to do ...and the model shows more than can be pieced together with photos of the real thing ;) ...The icing on the cake is that some of these have enough room to RC them :D

Glad you like them...I'm kind of anxious to see how these translate as well :D

This is one of two that arrived this past Tuesday ...Wanted to get the Porsche Tiger and the Hetzer out of the way first ...even though this one is important as it more than likely be my next RC build

Image
A really nice kit...the only thing that bothered me about it is it has rubber band tracks...the silver lining is that it was designed for those tracks...So the entire drive train is "solid" mount meaning they are not meant to move...it could be done...but since this is just a research tank...I didn't bother...progress is good...am about 3/4s way done :D
