Thanks Kiaser...... Indeed sponge, so much so that I am ordering two more GA-250 from HobbyKing to put in my Bradley and Leo. I think it is mostly there and I will play with it some more. Still trying to think what the end point adjustment will do to the servo and whether that will improve things or not. I probably won't have time to try it on the ground today instead of just spinning it on a lazy suzy, which I might add is pretty difficult for the gyro so I am hoping when I run it on the ground it will be even better.

Also will try mounting it on the turret and see how it differs and whether I will get a more realistic effect.

Kaiser, the one I have on it right now is analogue HiTec HSR-1425CR. This might be the best I can do with the current set-up (i.e. mounting on the hull). As you can see, the problem is that the servo is not proportional so when the tank turns too fast or too slow it gets out of sync and looses the lock-on. I have to find out if GA-250 is proportional or not as I know my servo isn't I don't think.

I've been doing some reading and mayb digital servo is best option as because of the speed is so much faster and no spin up time like analogue versions.

It depends on how they're used. The Tamiya GBS actually works really very well on large movements. The problem is the model is 1:16 and continually makes tons of very small movements as it moves, which it can't cope with. If you remove the turret and move the turret up and down in longer movements it actually works really smoothly and looks good. The system would work well on a heavier 1:10 or 1:8 tank but on a light, plastic 1:16 it doesn't. I think the Tamiya servo also doesn't help, it's fairly cheap. It may work better with a higher end, faster and generally more powerful Hitec like a 7954SH.
