Don't know all the science Steel...but it's due to the polymer that the Lipo is made of...it isn't a compressed composition like standard rechargeables...it's a plastic base...very similar to that of C4 :haha: ...reason if you abuse it...it will react... :O ....but you just can't beat them for performance...I used to be a skeptic ...now I'm a user ...relegate my stock and old NiHis to test when building...once the tank is up and running ..it's lipo all the way ;)

With Lipo's it's well worth fitting a warning buzzer as you can damage the cells if fully discharged. Similarly when charging make sure they're in a charger bag - google Lipo battery failures as there are a few videos on YouTube. I've not tried them in a tank (only got a tank last week) but there should be space in the battery compartment for the warning buzzer.

OK...just my two cents on the warning buzzer...you'll never hear it if you are ten feet away from the tank ;)

No idea, but suspect you'd need to make one..... I just listen for the loud buzzing/chirping/screaming noise!

Sounds good to me Rob. I'll certainly consider one if the price is right, it can only help.
