Ok heres the crack just looked inside the tank and tbh wouldn't have a clue how to get the gears out lol... there are screws holding it onto the plate and screws holding the plate from underneath that I cant get to. Is someone not telling me something here that I actually need some sought of engineering degree lol, I thought these were for kids ????? obviously kids of the larger kind that are very clever. Don't get me wrong Ive put aircraft together before and flown them but this is a whole new ball game... I must seem like a complete (to rude to say ) :{

hi rich when you're ready mate you will need to take off the sprockets and then look at the gears you should see in the front of the gears a screw in the gear that the shaft cog is on and one looking at the tank from the front left and right side of the gears and then at the back of the gears there are 2 more if you look down in between the gears you will see them :thumbup:

hi the waltersons come as a whole gearbox you then get a puller to take the pinion gear off and then replace it with a lower tooth one to make it slower

Richy Hi, I bought a pair of WALTERSONS GEAR BOXES for my TAIGEN TIGER 1 the gearboxes come with a base plate, but it is for the HENG LONG TIGER 1, The Taigen base plate will not take the WALTERSONS gearboxes, I ended up with a ruler a marker pen and a sheet of paper, I transcribed the position of the holes onto an old mess tin I drilled the holes then cut out the shape, a dry run proved the pattern was correct, so that was job done, since then I viewed a modification done by a member of RC UNIVERSE, using a combination of the TAIGEN and the HENG LONG base plates, it looks harder than my way but it is in pictures on that site so it can be printed off for reference. Whatever good luck, ps http://www.welshdragonmodels.com is selling TAIGEN 4/1 gearboxes for the TAIGEN TIGER 1. shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
