Good Morning, Mr. Herman,
Aye, this is true. I approach a build like Montgomery did his Campaigns. A huge build-up of men and materials then an arty barrage and we're off to the races. Since I am the only 'men' available to do this around here, more time and 'resources' are spent on materials. ;o)
regards,
Painless

Last of the ordered bits came in the post today so I had no excuse but to start work. For some reason, the Asiatam turret requires a bullet connector to be wired to the negative of either the battery or the power switch. I'll have to go pick one of those up tomorrow. Everything else on the turret works correctly. Heated up the brass antenna stud a little with my small butane torch and it pushed out easily. Pics:

Good Morning, CH,
It is good to hear from you. I reach out all over the world to find what is needed for a build. It's one of the good things I note about world trade. Thank you for watching! Like all Soviet armor, this one is already getting interesting. Aye, it is an IMEX\Taigen KV-1 mated with a Torro KV-2 IR turret. Lots of detail, paint and suspension work is called for.
warm regards,
Painless

Good Morning, Alpha,
This weekend will be quiet after all of the travel and hurry-worry of the last couple of weeks. I plan on spending a lot of time with the KV-2 and getting it torn down to start working on some of the detail. I had to order a HL connector board for the the three pin turret to hull wiring. I didn't feel good about cutting the turret side plug off and soldering those wires as they were done on the KV-1 turret. I want to be able to pull the turret when needed without firing up a soldering gun. I've picked out the paint scheme I'm going to use and it should be pretty amazing if I can make it work. So, all in all, I'm really looking forward to the weekend. ;o)
regards,
Painless

CH,
Those pictures are very useful, especially #3 since I need to make the wiring for the existing headlamp and horn more realistic. Thank you, sir. ;o)
