Good Afternoon,
Applause! That is a really cool and inventive way that you got it all to work and kept your Airsoft functionality. Nice thinking! I see that you drilled out your rear machine gun ball mount. There are some really good looking metal machine guns for the T-34's and KVs by a company called Bug that you can use that left over LED wiring in your turret for.

The more you work on this one the more I anticipate it's completion. ;o)

Thanks again Painless.... I have a plan for the rear machine gun...pretty simple (I hope 8O ).. I'm going to re wire the firing light and hook it to the machine gun circuit ... fabricate the machine gun barrel with aluminum tubing extend that a little further into the turret and shove that huge LED into it :haha: ...that way I kind of kill two birds with one stone ;) ...and if that doesn't work... I'll still fabricate the machine gun barrel... wire another LED do what I planned to do in plan "A" and extend the firing LED to the rear brake light hole... so it'll look like the driver is holding the brake while firing :haha:

What can I say... I'm poor... so I have to use what I've got first ;)

Thanks again for the help...I'm sure the links will come in handy ...Oh... Mato Mart still has a sale on :haha: 25% off ... free ship for orders over 200 dollars  ..ends on the 15th :haha:

Good Afternoon again,
Hey!, I'm poor too. *chuckles* I just ordered a bunch of parts to help modify and upgrade my Sherman. ;o) At least I could say to the better half that it was all for my birthday coming up here soon. So as far as MatoMart's extended Sale goes...They're the Devil... ;o) Your plans for lighting up the MG and brake light sound solid. Take care and enjoy the rest of the day!

Do you have any doubts Painless ? :haha: ...It has to be completed at this point... the stock turret is trashed ... so no turning back :haha: ...Neither Death... Hell or High water is going to stop this one :D

Though if those guys with the white jackets come along... it might hinder the progress a little :haha:

Mato is definitely the devil ...temptation is just hanging out there till the 15th 8O ...did you know they have your SHERMAN with the T74 tracks included :O ...It's pretty scary lol

The light yeah... I'm not sure it will fire without it hooked up... so plan "B" will come in handy..nice machine gun at Welsh... but it looks easy enough to fab... probably end up doing both ... as the stock one looks rather dorky :haha:

Thanks again ... for the laughs .. help and encouragement...this build is a real monster...but I think it'll have it's own measure of satisfaction once she's painted white.. and flying the PRAVDA colors

I forgot to say... the way the turret currently stands... takes less than five minutes to assemble and disassemble...and the clearance for the gun mechanism is optimum..
bicycle spokes... please don't laugh... it was late ... everyplace was closed... and the idea just popped into my mind

Alpha,
That is the best kind of modeling. ;o) "Necessity is the mother of Invention." Sorry to drag out such a hoary saying but it is true. Your turret is inspired.

Turret tested... everything works  ...feeling a little relieved... now working on hull.... before installing the spin ring... all extra armor has been removed... now capping some of the gaping holes... then on to detail :D

:haha: I agree... inspired by the fact there is no turning back now lol...it's a nice turret for sure... I feel lucky I got it... one piece construction and very solidly cast...even though I got down on myself a little.... I was having fun....it's been a long time since I've had to make something tiny work... and not only work.. it has to be serviceable ...it's probably more complex than what others have done... using servos instead of stock HENG LONG parts
But I'm poor.. impatient..and just like to get things done in a certain amount of time

and now that the turret is locked up... I can start progressing on the rest of the details...and on this one.. there is a lot more than meets the eye...HENG LONG left so much to do...the exhaust comes out in the wrong place... there a gaping holes under the upper armor (I think for the sound)...but with that said.... a little more fun for me lol
