Good Evening, Alpha,
Thank you for thinking of me, ;o) , It was good advertising on their part. I went to look there today but the thing I was after, they did not have. I have parts coming from JC, Welsh Dragon and Dave at Forgebear. Tomorrow, I will have more parts coming from Axel's Modelbau as well as Welsh Dragon and Forgebear again if I do not hear back from Frontline Armor by then. Don't keep us in suspense, what did you get from MatoMart today? ;o)
warm regards,
Painless (don't forget the pictures )

Now wait a minute there Painless... you just said you didn't need anything...
Since you're putting some responsibility on CH... yeah... it was his fault I was weak too... must have been that corner display case he put up

Good Evening,
Now that everything I had in mind has been located and ordered, a quick inventory of what is being posted is called for to help me keep track.
ForgeBear:
Taigen 2.4 GHZ Set w\speaker and new RX-18 with fan
Mato metal T-74 Tracks, Sprockets and Idlers, Mato Plastic Bogies w\wheels, Mato Accessory pack w\ .50 Cal and Tow Cable, Mato Metal Rear Deck Grills (working)
Welsh Dragon:
Schumo Main Gun Travel Lock (working)
Schumo Vent Grills (rear deck)
Axel Modelbau:
Schumo Turret Accessory Kit
Schumo Periscope covers (5)
Modelbau Scale rope
Tamiya Headlight covers
JR-RC's:
Tamiya Parts Sprue 'Y' (Pershing)
MatoMart:
Metal Jerry Cans (2) ( I blame CH and his corner cabinet )
This is going to be my most intensive mod\build yet. Only the knowledge and company of the folks here on the Forum would allow me to attempt anything like this. Like cupoftea said, "There is just something about a Sherman."
warm regards,
Painless

Good Eve, CH,
12:40 AM here, about to call it a night but up still for a few minutes more. The Accessory pack is just the tools and bits that came with the MATO, specifically the .50 cal which I wanted to replace the Tamiya 2 piece type that comes with the HL Sherman. I'll use the Tamiya type .50 cal to replace the old one on my Pershing or Walker some day. (the ones that came with the ammo can glued in the wrong place) I 'fixed' the original one on the Pershing already but it doesn't bear close inspection.
regards and Good Morning, ;o)

Sounds like a plan Painless...

....that's some list you've made for this one ... should be sweet when she's finally on the bench
Jerry Cans? that's all you got from Mato?

I thought there'd be a KV in there somewhere especially since they have the IR version (if you did I'll take the blame for that

)

Good Morning, Alpha,
Thank you, my friend, I really am enjoying this Sherman. Pics for today up sometime soon. I thought about getting the KV-1 from MatoMart but decided to go for a Taigen version with metal lower hull, etc. I am learning the virtue of KISS. ;o)
regards,
Painless

1st Day: First days are always a little disorganized so apologies in advance. I basically took the tank apart to look for hidden things requiring work and to see if it was as easy to work on as CH and Alpha had said. It was. ;o) I learned some things from my last Panther G build and one of the most important was to let the pictures do the talking so away we go.
