It's been more than a year that this thread was inactive. Wonder how the procss of this build and what the final product looks like.

For guys who come from western countries (can't read/write Chinese) who envy this build. As the author said his brass parts are from taobao, a Chinese rival to eBay. This site is really not for those who can't read/write Chinese. If you use English for searching, you find nothing, and some suppliers simply doesn't ship outside China.

Below is a Mato full metal Tiger I (empty tank). I contacted the supplier and he said he only ship in China. The price is RMB2999 which roughly translated into USD453.49. The RTR tank is RMB4299. Quite attractive but I'm building my plastic Tiger, so no space for this.

long long long time no see..
Because of the trivialities of life, I didn't have enough time to modify the tank, the tiger was shelved for almost 8 years.
However, I got the work-kids-life balance recently, it seems that be possible to complete the project this year.
so, just see what I did in nearly weeks.

Welcome back, we missed you. Nice progress on the Tiger. At this pace it should be completed about 2149 AD.

r891011, you started this build when I was participating on another RC tank forum, so I had not previously seen your photos. You are a master craftsman  and I'd bet that Taiwan is a far better place to find detailed parts than the U.S. Please do keep us informed with photos, and I am impressed that you managed a "work-kids-life balance." For forty years, even without kids, I had trouble with the work-life balance. :problem:
