How about you surprise us with something new, different and never before shown on this forum? Really unique, custom and fully functional? Sound, smoke, gun system, drive and why not opening hatches? Hey add an engine compartment with a complete engine assembly, radiator and electrical system, and demonstrate the combination of skills acquired from your many build experiences?
Hey now that would be a real treat, but present it once complete so the entire build experience happens in one viewing?
Then possibly we may be able to really share the experience without the wait? So what comes to mind, the ultimate expression of your skill and creative talents? Can't wait to find out Ian, go for it!
Davinci sounds good, but the motivation and electrical may be difficult in 1/16 scale, 15 guys and a candle. Still it would require skill to create his vision! Dan might be able to provide the firing cannons from his cool RC Frigate?

Hello saxondog... I think the DA VINCI TANK would be cool in RC... with a little artistic license Macevoyi could easily switch from wheels to tracks..... and make the whole unit a rotating turret the guns could be raised and lowered similarly to an ordinary tank... by lacing the cannons like that of a bicycle wheel... with a central HL style motor ...to which I agree... the guns could be wired in tandem so when you hit the fire button... they all fire at the same time... a 360 degree barrage of either IR beams or.. 6mm cannon balls

Hi Alpha, Dan's a Member here who also builds sailing plank in frame ships, his last creation did have firing cannon in series like a broad side, their is a video on the forum of him applying that firing system to his Tamiya King Tiger I think?
I'll find the video and post it up,pretty cool stuff. The effect was amazing. Sadly Dan has moved on,very talented fellow.
The Da Vinci would be very cool, and unique for sure. Yet It is all on Ian to decide ,unless someone else jumps in? It might be a good idea for a class project on campus though. Been trying to get some of the others into tanks?
Cheers

I am in the process of building a 1/16 E-25, you can check my build thread over at RCU. I might start posting the build progress here too if there is enough interest!
You can find the build thread here:

I am also taking commissions for this tank, please PM me for details!

Hi there captin nemo
Love the build of the E-25... i will follow and enjoy it looks like your build is going to be just amazing .....i see to that you have used panther tracks and drive train ...thats the way i have gone with my build for the E-10 ...i did fit panzer 4 tracks and sprockets ...but felt i did not look ' man ' enough so used panther tracks as well....
I have to say i am really surprised that not many people have attempted these builds ..the hulls are of simple design ....as its the hetzer ....i guess most shy away because of the road wheels ....i know there meant to be 1000mm on the prototype ...but for our builds standard King Tiger road wheels will have to do ,..
Any way ...like you i started a thread else where on here and will update ...but here some pics of my build so far .....

That is incredible! I like the use of the Panther tracks on the E-10, it does give it a more "bold" look. Besides, since these were merely "development vehicles" that existed in blueprints, we are not bound by historical accuracy and all that. In fact, for my build I'm aiming for a production version (or Ausf B), answering the question of "what if the Germans did indeed produce this vehicle?" I figured that since factories in 1945 were already producing Panthers, why not simplify the production process by using ready-made Panther parts?
I will be following your build as well!
