Phase 1 of the ambush camouflage complete
I've also used the hairspray technique to create chips and scratches in the green camo. This is the first time I've used the technique
Its difficult to judge the colours under tungsten lighting, so I'll try to take a few more tomorrow under natural light.

Phase 2 - this evening I applied the dark brown camo. As with the green, I've created the initial chips and scratches.
The tungsten light has definitely made the basecoat appear alot more yellow and the dark brown appears too red in the photographs. I'll take some shots in natural light tomorrow.
I'm pretty pleased with how its gone, as I'm not too good with the airbrush. The colours look pretty raw at this stage, but theres a long way to go, with alot of weathering to do.

Heres another shot in daylight. The brown still looks redder than it actually is, but for some reason I dont seem to be able to capture it properly with the camera.

To get the picture show a more accurate colour representation I'd have a go at calibrating your white balance. All you need is a clean piece of plane A4 paper. You'll find the option in your camera settings. Once you camera knows what white looks like under the light options you are using your picture will be spot on.
