Good Morning, Rob!
Thanks for looking in! Your solution is the best one and one that I have used in the past when I had a garage full of tools and supplies. (nails, etc) close at hand. I have an external Shop now and I know if I went out and dug through it, I might find some nails of the correct size. Easier for 'Older' Painless to save time and gas money to Walsenburg, (in case I needed to go buy a box o' brads from the local hardware store) to follow my usual routine. I had added onto an order earlier in the Build for two sets of the Lugs from Tank Modelbau anyway. I support the Hobby this way and have some anticipatory fun! Thanks for letting me ramble! ;0)
regards,
Painless

Good Morning, Alan!
I'm only doing these King Tigers once so I feel Ok in adding a little more detail to them both. This old Heng Long with the earlier Turret certainly needed some Glam of an Armor type. ;0)

Painless

Good Morning,
Finally got around to priming and painting the Lower Hull. On to mounting the Tracks and Sprockets, etc. next while awaiting some detail bits from Tank Modelbau.
regards,
Painless

Mr Bix!
Good to have you look in! These tanks were fresh off of the Training Range and sent to War. They did have some cross country action on the way to Normandy and were driving at Night. I don't know. You know how I love my Tanks, Depot Fresh.
regards,
Painless

I like tanks both ways: those bashed by Bix and those pampered by Painless.

They were all new at some point eh Mr Wolf !!
The nations top weapon of war and a massive investment so anything & everything that can be done to preserve & extend its combat capability would have been done .
Great job brining an old early H/L to life Sir.

Herman!
Very true, Sir! They were formidable Weapons indeed! Putting the Early Design next to the Updated One works both in Context of the actual Machines and the Story of Heng Longs King Tigers. From 2011 to 2025. I am happy to have one of each. The Early Model will get a lot more Run Time now with improvements made to modernize it and improve it's appearance.
regards always,
Painless

I love the red oxide primer stage if not for accuracy, I'd let my tanks this way
What did you use for the red oxide primer? It looks more a chocolate tone than the Tamiya primer, and I like the shade of yours.
Great built, the Zimmer it looks awesome and is crying for a nice weathering!
