Well it's a long story Giant....I'm not a rivet counter...but if a detail looks good in pictures...I'll try to copy it

That's what counts in this hobby and why rivet counters who criticize someones work pisses me off. We do this to satisfy ourselves and hope others will a will realize that.

Another batch of superb periscopes Alpha. Have you ever worked so hard to make correct looking ones on your other builds that were as difficult?

No...never Giant...mostly because WW2 tanks don't have this type of multi layering...the other reason is WW2 tanks ports are smaller.. so in most instances I just leave them be...the difference is size was a big factor in doing these up like they are...The ports are huge....for a reason too....all the photos of the real deal...have ports wthin the port ....even though I knew it would be a hassle to do....it just looked nicer to me

....it was also a lot of fun to do once getting into the rhythm ..difficult at first as I could have used blister pack for the outer lens...but it was too weak...Looked around...and found I had just enough of that clear plastic from the bandage tape dispenser to do all the lenses....the thickness is better...gives that "bullet proof" look....What shocked me was...after I took the photos thinking I was finished...saw that the loaders hatch still had to be done

...anyway after a short session last night ...finished that one off before I turned in for the night

They look good on yours...and I think if ATC does them they will look good on his...mostly because you two are building "realistic" versions...I envision mine "anime" style....not sure if the animators would include that feature...
Hey, mine is anime style too! It has Pikachu as the TC - which gives me a good excuse to not be 10000000% accurate on the tank hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!
Actually anime is pretty detailed. There's one anime - Patlabor I think - where this policewoman was in her car stuck in traffic when a futuristic police vehicle drives over them. The scene is she's on the phone when you hear a siren wailing. Then you see a reflection of the police vehicle on her rear view mirror. It gets closer and closer and then her car has a tinge of red light from the police vehicle's lights. Then forna brief second the police vehicle drives above her car and you can now see it speed away through her windshield. So damn detailed.
