If it helps that I expand on how I did it...
A flat piece of brass was used to make the hinges. I heavily score the brass in two places to make it easier to fold on a line, much like PE brass kits are done. Then I took the folded piece, and simply held in on a dremel disk to shape it. The rest of the pieces look simple enough but let me know if you've got any questions. My offer of sending the stock for free to do it yourself stands.
Today's labor:
The starter box, or whatever it's called, glued on and the shield mounts soldered together and then glued on. Also test fit the shields with the bolts I'll be using to attach this mess, same way I did the side mud flaps.
I may do some painting before I permanently attach those shields. It will be difficult to paint those exhausts once the shields are on!

Believe me Sov, there have been times when I wanted to jack in (does that idiom translate?) my Tiger build.
The worst moment was when I was contemplating re-doing all the zimmerit. For example I'm itching to get to grips with my Tamiya Panzer IV. But then the Tiger keeps calling me back...
I've been too busy elsewhere of late, but hoping that Christmas will give me some breathing space.
Funnily enough I'm about to start anew on my rear hull. I'm still keeping my Heng Long plastic exhausts mind, but after one of my altered rear mud flaps fell apart it looks as if the Voyager photo etch is my best option.
Now bearing in mind yours is an earlier model Tiger than mine, how are you going to go about the tool box over the port-side mud flap? I'm sticking with the (quite decent) Tamiya version, but I have a feeling that just won't 'cut the mustard' with you!

Once again amazing SOV, really impressed with the level of detail.

Haha, challenge accepted. I've got yet another surprise up my sleeve regarding that box. Keep in mind I don't have a Tamiya box and that I wont be using the HL one...

Someone you may know... I play World of Tanks professionally. Team captain of one of the top North American teams. Gold league begins tomorrow night and my team will be playing. Former Googlybobbers, now sponsored by Noble Pro Gaming.
If you want to watch...
Tune in about 8pm EST, I think, for the live stream. 12/9/2014
I made the Tiger tank famous last season, hope I can continue the tradition this season (5th).

Permanently attached my rear panel to the lower hull and did some more weld lines. The rear plate was actually a very poor fit to the lower hull (despite being designed for it). I had to do some labor to get it to fit correctly. In return I hollowed out channels for the milliput with a file. Welds are still drying, next I can stick on the tow hitch. Also spent some time making an attempt at sealing the hull to waterproof it

Sov,
It is a thing of beauty. Only question, do the rear fender mounts stick out from the sides of the hull like that to clear the fenders? Following along.

Painless

Check the earlier pic on how I mounted them at first. I saw my mistake and popped them off and mounted them this way (correctly). The sides of the upper hull wrap around the rear plate and the fender mounts are 50/50 welded to the side armor.

I actually do a lot of "undocumented" changes when I notice I've done things wrong and fail to mention it on these forums.

If you want diagrams of the rear mudguards, I will post 'em... I recently made up a set for Dragon's benefit.

Nice welds. Looks neat and the right sort of size.

Awesome, while not pro, I used to play for one of the top 10 clans in the EU. Stopped playing about 5 months ago though as playing CW 3-4 nights a week for several years got too much and didn't like the guys we were starting to recruit. On a break right now.

Was DC for one of the top 5 N.A. clans, but dropped to FC. Still a member there and do some clan wars but I don't play tanks too much, just the WGLNA and CWs on occasion.
Sure David, will help when I get to either doing welds, or mounting the fenders, post away!
