Does anyone have a detailed photo of the links? Are they the same used on the sherman?
For example C55592 (Sherman part number) end connector looks very close.

I’m printing 3 links off to see what they’re like, back in a few hours

First attempt was a bust, blocked nozzle doh
I’ve printed some ends, here are a couple on 3mm pins, I’ve kept the best finish to the outside

Here we go, they are fairly strong to be fair.
The pads in PLA will take any hammer I’m sure, the weakest bits are the end brackets, I think PETG for these would be ideal



Your struggle would be holding the pins in place

Good evening!
I have an idea for that issue. Cut all the pins to length and use either a pinch nut or a self tapping nut to secure the ends of the pins. My big question now is will something beautiful like those links fit the 21st Century Stuart drive sprockets?

If I go to the trouble of making them from mine I will use 4-40 or metric equilivent set screws. I'll also model them more accurately as these are the wide not narrow shoe versions.

I could use some help finding accurate forging codes seen on the real ones.

Look at the link I posted for 6th Army group. Some of those closeups show the forging numbers on the connectors.

I saw those awhile back, don't seem to match real photos.
