The DAK Flak 36 emplacement is complete all but a few rocks. What we now need is more DAK equipment. So far as I can tell, what we have is a Kubelwagen with crew and a Panzer IV (now that Rob has fixed it). Some allied dessert stuff would compete the picture.

Photos will follow when the weather improves - it's raining here. I may post them in the show off thread, if I'm feeling brave.

I just thought that I would mention it as it passed without celebration, I just checked and the Bristol Armoured Division has now passed it's first anniversary. Here's to the next one in 12 months time.

I printed off some new sheets of cobbles for the roadways, stuck them on some some using a re-adjustable spray adhesive. They did not look too bad. To protect them, I then sprayed them with an artists' acrylic matt varnish. BIG MISTAKE. The solvent from the varnish reacted with the adhesive - the sheets all bubbled up and the edges came loose. Should have varnished them first, I think. Fortunately, most have the bubbles have gone now it's dried. The edges and joins need a lot of attention. I am reluctant to use PVA as previous experience has shown that it reacts with the printer ink and changes the colour. I shall find a way, though I fear the finished article will not look as good as I had hoped.

The first of Andy's new pieces of scenery (the other mountain pass) is nearly finished. Unfortunately, I am nearly out of the shorter static grass, so need to vacuum off the excess to re-use, and surprise, surprise my hand vacuum cleaner battery is flat!

My little surprise package is coming along quite well, though I do say so myself. I just hope you like it.
