CH, you and me are always on the same page when it comes to building Shermans, Doc. I am in respect of your skillset at all times. Thank you for the reciprocation. All we can do is try harder when needed, Eh? ;o) Alpha, Good one there, whipping out ol' Crazy Joe on me. *laughs* ;o) I have a few things set back for his M4A176(W), thanks to you and Mike, that will put a better smile on Joe's face when I get around to working on it. Cupoftea, thank you, Sir. I am working on it today and tomorrow and will have pictures tonight.

42nd Day: A last minute dinner in Denver and company put all of my plans forward a few hours. I did get the hatch periscope mounted and built that sweet Tamiya .50 cal. That will do for today, Pictures:

be care full with that paint old chap, I will have to invest in a spraygun type wotsits because the can s can get out of hand ok for first coat no good for detailed paint .....

Leave Joe as he is ...in his own way he is very cool... for one it's a reminder of days gone by not to mention those special occasions when a chuckle is needed
he has character ... personally I wouldn't change anything... just make Joe 2

By the way Painless... she's really sharp... all the details complement each other...I really like that Tamiya 50 cal...the detail on that is superb... only complementing the work you have already done...

Wow Painless. That turret is chock full of goodies. So much to look at. I can't believe how much detail on that Tamiya 50. Really top notch work.

I am a rattle can user from way back. Like you, I need to invest in a decent air brush set up and learn how to use it. For this Sherman, there will be careful primer and light overcoats with all of the detail work being done by brush. ;o)

Crazy Joe is an institution anymore. ;o) I love to use him to illustrate whenever someone is bemoaning their figure painting skills. One of the guys over to visit last night saw him on the screen in your post and said, "What the hell is that?" After the laughter died down, I went and got Joe out of his hatch for closer examination. They were chuckling over how perfect his uniform was then those eyes. ) When I revisit Joe's Sherman, I may fix his lips at least to get rid of the smeared lipstick effect. Thank you again for enjoying my work on this tank. It is a blast and I am psyched over how good the detail work is turning out. I owe you and Mike a great deal of thanks.

NOOOOOOOOOOO! don't change Joe the lipstick looks like he had to rush back to his unit from a brothel and his eyes look like he just spotted all the women chasing after him because he left without paying

all the characteristics give Joe personality ... ...he apparently was very sneaky

PS...Like how the periscope has clearance for a figure...not sure it would work on the split hatch though
