Barbed wire looks amazing. How did you make it?

I hope you know that in Austria, just like in Germany, many symbols and signs of Nazism are forbidden.
Please be careful if you are active with your great models outside of the living room.

Hi mate, thanks for the info. Yep, I am aware those symbols here are... complicated. Not as bad as in Germany, but still frowned upon and definitelly can cause an issue.
That is one of the reasons I fitted a spanish fascists flags in the tank, so nobody knows here what is it about. A bit like bending the rules, lol

Sealing wire! Brilliant find. My previous attempt to barbed wire is waaay oversized

Quick question since the subject was brought up.
If the flag is rolled up like this and not completely displayed is it still too suggestive to pass muster? I hate to disturb anyone’s feelings and wasn’t fully aware of the situation in certain countries.

Maybe I should roll it up tighter.

I would not give a damn about people feelings in that subject, nowadays everybody is offended with everything! We start removing historic flags and markings and then you will end removing the barrel of the tanks and painting them in pink because it was too offensive for 65 colectives.

Anyway, the problem in Austria and Germany is those symbols are against the law and you could even end in prison. Fortunatelly this is a british forum.

How did you do the flag, by the way? Looks great!

Thank you. My feelings exactly!
I simply crumpled up the flag over and over until it looked all wrinkled and rolled it fairly tight and wrapping wire around to hold it. Then I soaked it in diluted white glue to saturate it and wrapped it tightly around something (can’t exactly remember what it was) until it dried. I weathered it with a thin wash of black acrylic paint to give it well used look. Then I placed it snuggled around the cupola and secured it with a dab or three of white glue.
