Just some small details I did over the weekend but forgot to take pix and post:

The last photo has an additional hinges for the boxes and a small tube to represent the tank's rear camera.

MWUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Electronics upgrades and track tension adjuster have been ordered. Hopefully those will be arriving in October-November 2015 time frame.

IBU2 Pro package with TPA +2 speakers
Henntec track adjuster for the M1 (I also ordered the track adjuster for the Leo2)

MWUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAAHAHAHAHHAAHAHA!!!!!!

Now, must look to order that Ultimate Gearbox II (the red one with blue motors) for the M1....

MWUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

@) @) @)

Hopefully next year, the M1 will have metal road wheels, recoiling BB unit, and better batteries.

Ordered the Ultimate Gearbox II and a couple of red motors from TankArmy yesterday. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the upgrades. I expected myself to order these over a several months next year, but manna came down from heaven and so there I was the couple of days ago, burning the internet with PayPal.

I never really thought that this hobby would be as expensive - perhaps, even more so - than mountain biking and hiking.... ;D

Ah well....

I think I'll put off replacing the plastic wheels and suspension arms with their metal equivalents - unless the metal versions of these parts would significantly improve the way the tank runs. My main concern now is how to replace the HL gun elevation for a servo mechanism. I'll have to open the turret again and study where to put the servo elevation mechanism. Future upgrade will be to order a second M256 main gun and modify it so I can make a recoiling BB unit just like what IMEX did to the new Taigen Tiger tanks. Why insist on a BB? Because I got no one to play IR battles with huhuhuhuhuhu....

LOL....I think it really depends on perspective :haha: ....or just how far you want or need to go...don't need new motors ............Yet ;) ...I want to see if manufacturers come out with a speed set up :haha: ...or maybe try and make my own gearbox using steel airsoft gears lol...but yes indeed things add up faster that you can blink an eye ....I built a Titanium mountain bike complete with carbon wheels for less :O ...along with upgrading my old trashmo with titanium parts as well

I'm kind of in the same boat ATC...no one around to play IR with...so the only advantage is the recoil...with that said though...I do want this one to recoil one day...working a a micro design that will work with the stock HL gear...don't really want to go in the direction you are going in with that IBU....as converting to that is a tad over the budget I set for my tanks...The thing that will be a disappointment with my design is there won't be the bb function....I would wait for the Taigen mech to come out...but I do think it's going to be big....though that doesn't really affect the M1...just because there is so much space in this tank :D

Not to mention I'd like to have the savings on hand when the full metal Challenger comes out ;)

HAHAHAHA! Leo will be a Totoro Tank not GuP tank hahahaha!

Finally - PRIMING TIME! ;D

It's a good thing I didn't plug the smoker exhausts - gave me an anchor point to hang the hull. ;D

Image

AND THE HULL IS PRIMED!

And I should've bought another two cans of light gull gray BWUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :haha:

I love how the anti-slip sheets blended well with the rest of the hull. Yes, too aggressive, but I like it. :D

Will mask some clear parts on the turret before priming it.
