Hawaii is off, got my return to work orders & would have been away when due to return. Guess thats what I get for having a new start eh. Mrs has aranged the U.S. for early november instead.

It really is a splendid sight in the Fall/Autumn and the wines produced in the State easily equal Californian vintages, and the citizens are a little less frenetic than their southern brothers and sisters shaun

Well the entire point is Snow mate....................if its not Hawaii in our winter, then its as close to a white xmas as we can do.
Last thing I want is to be stranded in Chicago or JFK when a blizzard rolls in !!
Even lake Louise is a frozen block later on in December.
East coast is the reason, they have Hershey World(Ive been-kids havent) and Sesame Street !!
Also the other good spots..............Getysburg, The Valley Forge, Daniel Boones homestead, whats left of the Aberdeen Prooving Ground, and such stuff.( Ive been, wife & kids havnt)
It was going to bust me 10 grand for 4 days in Hawaii.........then I would face a few hours recovery before more travel out to work for a month.
It will cost me closer to 20 grand for a ten day stint in December !!
I sure do envy you guys up north.............."oh, lets drive to France for the weekend".................you dont kn ow how lucky you are
I saw adds on the side of busses in Londaon for Geneva from 95 quid, that was in '09. I was shunted out of Argentan because the MG club had taken all available accommodation for the weekend !!

Just to really pee you off, You can now walk /cycle/drive to your nearest railway station anywhere in Britain and after changing at a few stations get to the South of France by Train.
Who needs to travel to an airport then pay a fortune in parking then wait for 2/3hours at an airport to clear the security hurdles then fly for a couple of hours then more security and then searching for transport to get you into town? and it isn't cheap,
Plus You can take a foldaway bike on the train so a couple of soft canvas carriers slung over the back of the bike and who needs a cab. shaun

Good morning,
While I reiterate that I _do not_ have Herman's Night Fighter gear for his Panther, I can also add that the Liquor Cabinet is always well stocked for a visit and the Howling Wilderness is five minutes away by my Jeep. Always welcome to visit, Herman. There is a nice little B&B up the road in town proper and Denver and Boulder are not much further if you need some Nightlife on your vacation. ;o)
