Re: Tamiya Early Tiger 1 Static to RC Build
Thank you again, CR73. ;o) Tiggr, Maybe a quick start up and options test video. The first run always goes to the Owner. ;o) I was soldering tonight using a relatively new ( and inexpensive ) butane torch when my hand started warming up more than ordinary and I looked up to see the plastic melting on the torch up near the point where the nozzle exits the body of the device. I shut it down and cooled it quickly but it is ruined. The igniter switch won't function any longer and the metal nozzle is leaning badly. I had the choice of buying an expensive Dremel torch or this one made by Renmei. It's nice, has a self igniter and came with a complete kit for soldering but if it 'self ignites', well that is a no-go. I believe the problem is that even at the lowest setting, the valve for the butane is still open too high. The soldering is done at least and a good start has been made on mounting the electronics. Another torch is in the works Pics:

Painless you are an artist in every way possible! The interior of the Tiger looks to be done to the highest standard and absolutely compliments that striking exterior with all its intricate details!
Work like this can only elevate the work of others on the forum
You are one very talented and skilled person Mr Painless

Cracking job there Painless, come to the conclusion it's a dark art to get the interiors looking as neat as yours hats off to you. However hard I try mine still turn out to look a confused mess
Must be hard to resist having that first drive I know I couldn't.

This is like a work of art.
I'd be to scared to handle it , let alone drive it.

Re: Tamiya Early Tiger 1 Static to RC Build
Good morning Gentlemen,
Thanks to you all for the encouragement. ;o) I am waiting for a new torch from Dremel. It should be here today. Also, looking for a gross of ECW JST 21 connectors to be delivered. Once those things arrive, I can complete the electronics and get on to the last couple of details in this build. Yesterday, I took time to organize the Tank Room's closet. Now, I can see what I have got in the way of spares, tank hulls, etc...
