Well, it had its first run yesterday. There is a very short video in the Bristol Armoured Division thread.
(Credit to Rob for the video) All was going well until I managed to reverse it into some scenery and got the fence wire wrapped round one wheel.

The elmod board behaves very differently from anything else of mine. I am used to things moving immediately you move the stick and stopping immediately you put it into neutral. This does neither. It more represents real life, you put the stick forward to its maximum, after a short pause, the vehicle moves away slowly and changes gear as it picks up speed. The most rapid stop is to put it in full reverse. It stops with a squeaking of brakes, but there is a definite delay before it come to a complete stop. If you don't release the stick in time, it then sets off in reverse. This is what caught me out.
Once we had freed the wheel, I managed to trundle round the battlefield without hitting too much else. It drives very well. Hopefully, we can get some better video at the next meet. I'm not going to attempt driving AND videoing at the same time. After a while, the steering lock on one side virtually disappeared. I think the linkage must have moved and jammed again. And talking of jamming, When I fitted it all together, I had to push down quite hard to get the top to sit properly. I think I must have got some wires trapped against the turret rotation ring, as it is jammed tight. The drive is working as you can hear the clutch. I have an idea which may ease the prob;em, ut I am not attempting anything till I get back from my holiday at the end of the month.

I haven't had a chance to read the whole thread yet, as I just found it. I just ordered the same kit last night. From what I've read so far, looks like I'm in for an interesting build.

Hopefully you will manage things better than I. There are videos on YouTube that indicate it can be done. I am not convinced that I necessarily did things right.

One thing I'm going to do is avoid the whole recoil issue. I'm trying to decide between doing a 234/1 or 234/4. I like the look of the 2cm turret, but I also have a spare PaK 40 on hand.

You can fully adjust the settings on the elmod to remove the inertia. It will move quicker from a standstill and stop quicker should you wish it to.
