Kiaser, I am sorry for not being here earlier but I was watching a MIRACLE!!! We in England have been told for months that the Australian Cricket team would eat us alive, and after the cold blooded murder carried out on the English cricket team in the last Ashes Test a lot of us thought it might just happen.
I have just finished watching an English cricket team not only BEAT, THRASH. MURDER and in all other aspects win the first test but did so with a day in hand!  Please forgive me but it is an event as rare as shaking hands with the President of the United Kingdom! :haha: :haha: shaun

Lucky for me I'm a New Zealander !!!!
I only live here, no way I support the sports teams ,
It is about time your lot showed a bit of heart and put out like a national side should.
I just hope it doesn't inspire the rugby team to do the same !!

Im back for a few days. The new job is great. A whole lot more switched on than the short stint I did recently.
I got a package from Tank Modelbau today, but nothing yet from Asiatam (night Fighting hardware) which has got me a bit concerned.
I just cannot complete this project without the night vision gear.
The rocket packs are almost done, the brackets under the crates are a bit fiddly.
So its hurry up & wait for now

Used the waiting time to get the 'wood' effect on the crates.
Base coat of oil burnt sienna, will dry brush over with raw sienna to raise the grain.

Over coat ov dry brushed raw umber to get the woody look.
I think I will run with it on all of them. The crates I have seen on half tracks in pictures seem to be all very dark timber, perhaps stained even, so this colour could be close enough.
Will also spot the nail heads in gun metal to finish.

Contrast in the lighter raw sienna to the top coat of raw umber.
Thats "wood'-enough for me :haha: :/

For goodness sake Simon no Englishman in their right mind seriously believed we were going to beat Australia more than once in a year, unfortunately our prayers for rain have been slightly unsuccessful, we wanted rain at Lords and got it at St Andrews for the Golf Open!! :/ shaun
